NC Baptist Pedals Across the State for BCH

July 28, 2010

Endurance cyclist and North Carolina Baptist Chris Boone will attempt to break a state cycling record by pedaling his bicycle 543 miles from the North Carolina mountains to the coast in less than 40 hours. The resident of Bakersville, NC is not only attempting to break the record, but he hopes his efforts will raise at least $250,000 to help children living at Baptist Children’s Homes of North Carolina’s statewide homes. Chris’ ride, named RideNC2010, will take place on September 7 - 9 and is a part of Baptist Children’s Homes year-long 125th anniversary celebration.

Become a RideNC2010 sponsor and help Chris make a difference in the lives of BCH's boys and girls!

There are many ways to help:

1) Chris covets your prayers. Ask for your church to form prayer teams to pray for Chris before and during the ride.
2) Become a RideNC2010 sponsor. Click on the RideNC2010 website to give a gift. Choose a sponsorship level or give an amount of your choice. No gift is too small!
3) Ask your church's children to participate in a "Bike for Change." Organize a safe route for children to ride their bicycles in support of Chris. Collect sponsors or take up special offerings in Sunday School or church to help Chris. Visit RideNC2010 to find out more info about organzing a Bike for Change.
