Cameron Boys Camp is accepting resumes/applications for Counselors/Teachers to live in a wilderness environment. The Counselors/Teachers live in a primitive group setting teaching at risk youth. Minimum requirements: Bachelors Degree or equivalent experiences, which are willing to make a two year commitment, enjoy the outdoors and a challenge in a physically demanding environment.

Direct Care Positions

Child Care Workers
Child Care Workers perform their duties in residential facilities with the children in care. The schedule is either 2 weeks on duty and 2 weeks off duty for some locations, or 8 days on duty and 6 days off duty. Qualifications include: a high school diploma, a valid drivers’ license, must be 21 years of age, have experience in residential child care work and/or demonstrate the ability and motivation to learn and practice basic child care skills.

Residential Caregivers
Residential caregivers work with our adults with developmental disabilities in their group homes throughout N.C., and usually follow a schedule of 8 days on duty and 6 days off duty. Minimum qualifications consist of: a high school diploma, a valid drivers’ license, must be 21 years of age, and preferably have experience working with the developmentally disabled or a desire to learn and be trained to work with these special people.

Part Time Assistant Day Care Teachers

Our Mills Home Campus in Thomasville is accepting applications for Part Time Assistant Day Care Teachers. The hours are Monday through Friday, from 3:00 to 6:00pm. Qualified applicants must be at least 18 years of age and a high school graduate. Current Opportunities

Administrator, Asheboro Home for Developmentally Disabled

The administrator of the Asheboro Home must meet the criteria for a Qualified Professional under the mental health definition which is: a master’s degree with 1 year experience with the DD population; or a 4 year degree in the human service field with 2 years experience with the DD population; or a 4 year degree with 4 years experience in the DD field. · Previous supervisory experience in an adult residential care facility is preferred. · Must have excellent written and verbal skills. · Proficient in Microsoft software applications. · Valid drivers’ license.

Duties include: · Supervision of one home in Asheboro, staff and residents. · Ability to cover residential caregiver shifts when needed. · Conduct 90 day and annual reviews of residential caregivers. · Act as a liaison to agencies and guardians. · See that maximum social work service is provided to residents and their families. · Participate in all admissions and discharge planning affecting the residents. · Assist with the marketing of the DDM mission. · Maintains confidentially, accurate files and reports. · Demonstrate a professional and teamwork attitude.

Residential Caregivers

The positions typically require overnight stay, 8 days on duty and 6 days off. The Asheville group home requires a CNA license.
