Family Care Program
Mothers learn the skills needed to obtain and maintain a stable home, job and income. Baptist Children's Homes' counselor and live-in residential manager assist the mother in setting and achieving family goals, developing parenting and job skills, budgeting, and resolving transportation needs.
Qualifications: Mothers must be at least 18 years old and have legal custody of their children. Admission qualifications can include lack of financial stability, potential or current homelessness, few or no job skills, and little or no family support.
Cost: Mothers are responsible to pay a monthly $60 program fee after their first moth of residence. If outside employment has not been obtained after one month from date of placement, the client will volunteer 10 hours per week on the Baptist Chldren's Homes campus; 10 of these hours will be applied toward the monthly fee.
Family Care Cottages are available at seven of Baptist Children's Homes locations.
