Every day, Baptist Children’s Homes (BCH) serves children and families who have been let down by the people in their lives. The world they’ve come from has been an ugly place filled with hurts. They need to know there are people out there who truly love them. They need a fresh start — they need a new adventure. Philippians 4:8 reminds us that God is doing incredible things in the world around us: things that are, as the scripture says, pure, noble, right, true, lovely, admirable, excellent and praiseworthy. Each of us face challenges every day. It’s easy to focus on our struggles. But instead, God encourages us to focus on the incredible things He is doing in the world around us. We need that encouragement. Our children at BCH desperately need it. When we focus on the goodness of God, as we see in Philippians 4:8, that’s when the adventure begins!
