He lives!

What a joy it is to celebrate a risen Savior every Easter! In the Gospel of John, Jesus refers to Himself as the Good Shepherd and speaks of how the Good Shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. This is exactly what happened when Christ willingly allowed Himself to be crucified for His flock — for you and for me. Three days later, miraculously, Jesus rose from the grave. He lives!

Like lost sheep, children regularly come to Baptist Children’s Homes (BCH) in search of safe pasture. And when boys and girls come, we have the incredible privilege to tell them about the Good Shepherd — the One who laid down his life for them.

In John 10:10, Jesus says, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have life and have it abundantly.”

So much has been stolen from the children we serve. Many have been robbed of their childhood due to abuse by love ones they trusted. There are boys and girls who have been forced to parent their younger siblings because mom and dad are caught up in addiction. Their self-esteem has been destroyed. They’ve lived lives absent of love.

Friends like you show our children that love is alive! Your Easter gift shepherds boys and girls into our caring cottage homes. They discover a place where they can simply be children. It’s a place that offers plenty to eat. It’s a place that is safe. BCH is a home where love abounds because you make it possible for us to model the unconditional love of Jesus Christ.

Please make your Easter gift today. Help us show these precious boys and girls that love is alive through the death and resurrection of the Good Shepherd.

Please give online today at www.bchfamily.org/easter. And please be in prayer for the children and families you help serve through Baptist Children’s Homes’ 22 locations across North Carolina and Guatemala. Because of you, 669 decisions for Christ have been made in the past five years!

He lives! And because He lives, our children have life and have it more abundantly. Thank you for sharing the love of Jesus through your generous Easter gift!
