Your Christian Adoption Services’ (CAS) “Angel Fund” support is vital now more than ever. Before the end of January, more than $35,000 must be raised to help guarantee necessary resources are in place for 2025.
A new year means new beginnings. Nothing exemplifies this more than the birth and adoption of a baby, giving hope to the newborn child, the adoptive family, and the birth mom. In December, while others were gathered with families celebrating Christmas, dedicated CAS staff members were ministering to three birth moms and placing their babies with loving adoptive families. Two more placements are expected this month and even more in the coming months.
Recently, the CAS phone rang and on the line was a pregnant woman crying out for help while being beaten by her domestic partner. The staff member quickly called 911 and the woman was rescued and is now safe. Because of the love and care she has received through CAS, she has begun an adoption plan for her baby. Through her grief, she is setting a course of hope, determined her child will have a future far different from the life she has lived.
A teen mom had her baby and wanted to parent the child. But with no family support, chaos in the home, and with the risk of endangerment to herself and the baby, the 17-year-old bravely determined to break away. Living in uncertainty and fearing she would be placed in foster care, she sought the help of CAS. She wanted more for her baby. She wanted the child’s future to be filled with hope. She wanted her child to have what she never had—stability. She wanted her child to sleep peacefully and wake every morning with every need met.
The new year means dreaming, setting goals, and praying for those who will be impacted by adoption. It also means providing the needed support. So I must ask, on the behalf of these precious newborns, the loving adoptive families, and the brave birth moms, for your continued support. Help us reach our “Angel Fund” goal.
